News for 19th July 2011 :: Wenta Win Chamber Charity Golf Day

Roger Gagan, Chief Executive at the Watford Chamber said:

“You will be pleased to hear that we will be running another Charity Golf Day next year for the Peace Hospice on Tuesday May 15 with the venue again being Aldenham Golf Club. Some teams have already reserved their places. So if you do want to play you know what you have to do!”

As well as the golf day, the Chamber has decided this year to help to arrange a quiz evening for the Peace Hospice on Friday 14 October at Hunton Park. The quiz will have a Halloween theme and tickets priced at £15 to include supper are now on sale. Contact Maggie Grand at the Peace Hospice via email: mgrand@peacehospice.org or call 01923 335348.

The Watford Chamber and its members work so hard to raise money for the Peace Hospice, Princess Michael of Kent, the Hospice’s royal President, recently presented an award to the Chamber which board member John Whatling accepted on behalf of all those involved. John said:

“It was an honour to accept the award on behalf of everyone at the Chamber and every one of our members.

“Of course, our main function is to help local businesses. But when we can all come together and raise a lot of money for a wonderful charity like the Peace Hospice, we can and should be proud to be part of the Watford Chamber. So thank you to everyone involved.”
