News for 20th May 2011 :: Chamber Golf Days record funderaiser for hospice

22 teams took part in the day with the Wenta team once again coming top.  The best individual went to Paul Smith from Sagani.  There were several other awards made.

To add an extra dimension the competition there was also the opportunity to win a car through a hole in one.  No winner this time but also the chance to “Beat the Pro” and over £350 was raised from golfers trying their best to do just that.

The day finished with a two course meal, raffle and auction and golfers were thanked for their generosity.

Stuart Nagler, Chair of Trustees at the hospice added that “ he was very grateful to businesses for continuing to support the hospice through these difficult economic times as the majority of the funds had to be raised by the local community”

Roger Gagan Chief Executive of the Chamber said “ We are delighted to continue to support the Peace Hospice through our golf day.  It is a popular choice with our members who once again gave great support to this event.  I’d also like to thank our main sponsors Top Golf and all the companies who have sponsored a hole or donated a prize. ”

2012 Watford Chamber Charity Golf Day will be at Aldenham Golf Club, Tuesday 15th May 2012.  Please get in touch if you want to book early for this sell out event.
