Business News for 4th March 2011 :: Chamber Survey

Firstly thank you to everyone who took time to complete our recent survey. You will be pleased to hear that we had a good response and that most of your comments were very encouraging.

In saying this you did highlight ways in which we can improve the level of service which we offer to you our members and these are as follows:

CHAMBER EVENTS

Whilst most of you like the events that we run some of you requested more lunchtime/ evening events and in this connection we have recently launched the Chamber Luncheon Club. Our April Networking meeting will be an evening event at Hunton Park when we are hoping to have a speaker from Warner Brothers.

TRAINING

Nearly 20% of those who responded said that they would welcome more training through the Chamber. We have recently emailed our members to find out their training requirements for 2011 so if you do have a training need could you please get back to us. Don’t forget we run a wide range of training courses with generous discounts for Chamber members.

COMMUNICATIONS

A number of you have said that you receive too many mailshots from the Chamber. Well you will be pleased to hear that we have been looking at new ways in which to communicate with our members and we are proposing  to start a monthly emailed newsletter. It will contain details of our events, articles of interest and there will also be sponsorship and advertising opportunities.

We are also working with CBJ Digital to improve both the layout and content of the Chamber web site

DATA BASES

It is vital that the Chamber data base is kept up to date and in this connection if any of your company details do change could you please advise us as soon as possible.

We are also anxious that as many people as possible receive copies of our emails especially in larger companies about such things as our events  so if you would like additional members of staff to be added to our data base please do get in touch.

We are constantly looking at ways in which we can continue to improve the level of service which we provide to our members so if you do have any ideas or suggestions please do not hesitate to get in touch
