Mrs Reynolds and The Ruffian - a new play by Gary Owen.
The Play was specially commissioned for The Palace and will be directed by Artistic Director Brigid Larmour. The story is that of the relationship between Mrs Reynolds,a little old lady and Jay, a troubled youth who is caught vandalising her garden. As 'community payback' Jay is sent back to help Mrs Reynolds fix the damage he caused and an extraordinary friendship is born. The initial contention gives way to a surprising bond. Mrs Reynolds and the Ruttian explores human nature and friendship alongside the social climate of modern Britain giving a warm, funny and wise glimpse into the way we live now. Trudie Goodwin, who is best known for the role of Sergeant June Ackland in The Bill will star as Mrs Reynolds.
