News for 16th July 2009 :: VISIT TO RENEWABLE ENERGY
RES are based in Kings Langley and are one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world. They are based at the former Ovaltine Egg Farm which has been restored to its former glory.
The evening started with a presentation about the history of the company followed by a tour which included the wind turbine (which is the only one in the county) solar panels and underground heating. The evening finished with a Q & A session and a buffet.
RES not only encourage their staff to cycle to work they also pay them a mileage allowance if they do so. It’s good for the pocket, for the individual’s health and of course for the environment, so how about giving it a try especially now that summer is here.
