Watford & West Herts Chamber of Commerce works vigorously to help promote growth and prosperity for our members by offering a wide range of events & services designed to keep their businesses ahead of the competition.
With the challenges and demands facing businesses in an uncertain economic climate, the Chamber has a vital role to play. It is active in every walk of business life, encouraging relationships between companies, working to improve prosperity for Watford and the South West Hertfordshire region.
We represent our members’ views and needs at local, national and international level. We have excellent relationships with the three local authorities including Watford Council, Herts County Council and other public bodies whose decisions can have far reaching effects on the local economy.
Our directors and support team are highly experienced local business men & women fully conversant with the challenges of running a business. They appreciate that your priority is growth for you and your business.
We are also affiliated to the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce which means that between us we have over 1800 members which makes us part of the largest business organisation in the county and one of the largest Chambers of Commerce in the UK .
Supporting the local community
Our philosophy is to strive toward making Watford a better, brighter and safer community. Over the years the Chamber and its members have maintained close links and raised thousands of pounds for regional charities including The Peace Hospice, Watford Mencap and the Princes Trust.
Our ‘World of Work Days’ is an initiative working with local schools to help young people gain greater knowledge of business practice by advising on issues such as preparing a CV, attending an interview, workplace etiquette etc. A number of Chamber members are supporting schools by becoming school governors.
